Event Cleaning Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organised and proactive Event Cleaning Coordinator to manage and oversee cleaning services for various events and venues in the Norwich area. This role involves planning, scheduling, and supervising cleaning teams before, during, and after events to ensure pristine conditions. You will be responsible for coordinating resources, managing staff on-site, and liaising with event organisers to meet specific cleaning requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent logistical and communication skills, with experience in event management or contract cleaning supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule cleaning operations for events, allocating staff and resources effectively.
• Supervise cleaning teams on-site, providing clear instructions and support.
• Conduct pre- and post-event site inspections to assess cleaning needs and ensure quality.
• Liaise with event organisers and venue managers to confirm cleaning requirements and timelines.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock for events.
• Address any on-site issues or emergencies related to cleaning promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all cleaning activities.

Requirements

• Experience in event management, cleaning coordination, or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong organisational and logistical planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards and health & safety practices.
