Event Coordinator - Catering Support

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Event Coordinator to provide essential support for their catering operations in Plymouth . This role focuses on assisting with the logistical planning and on-site execution of various catering events, ensuring a smooth and high-quality experience for clients. You will work closely with the Event Manager and culinary team, acting as a key liaison to bring events to life. This position is primarily on-site, requiring presence at venues and coordination with staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of all logistical aspects for catering events, including timelines, staffing, and venue setup.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients on the day of the event, addressing any immediate needs or concerns.
• Liaise with the culinary team to ensure timely preparation and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders.
• Supervise event staff during service, providing direction and ensuring adherence to service standards.
• Manage event setup and breakdown, ensuring all equipment is handled correctly and spaces are returned to their original state.
• Handle any on-site issues or emergencies calmly and efficiently, implementing solutions to ensure event success.

Requirements

• Previous experience in event coordination or a similar role within the hospitality or catering industry.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
