About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Operations Coordinator to support the planning and execution of diverse events in Norwich . This role is integral to ensuring the smooth running of all event logistics, from venue setup and technical requirements to staffing and on-site management. You will work closely with the events team to deliver memorable experiences for attendees, clients, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is meticulous, adaptable, and possesses excellent communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and contributing to the success of a wide array of sporting and community gatherings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of all logistical aspects of events, including venue sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Manage event documentation, including schedules, floor plans, risk assessments, and attendee information.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services and equipment.
- Oversee on-site event operations, including setup, registration, staffing, and troubleshooting on the day.
- Support the marketing and promotion of events, including managing ticketing and attendee communication.
- Conduct post-event analysis, gathering feedback and preparing reports on operational success and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations for events.
Requirements
- Experience in event planning, coordination, or operations, preferably within the leisure or sports sector.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve effectively in dynamic situations.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including some evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
