About the Role
Our client is looking for an organized and enthusiastic Event Planning Assistant to join their dynamic team in Cambridge . This role provides essential support to the senior event planners, assisting with the coordination and execution of a wide range of events, from corporate functions to academic gatherings. You will be involved in various aspects of event management, including logistics, vendor coordination, client communication, and on-site support. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior planners with the logistical planning and execution of events.
- Coordinate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to confirm arrangements and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage event-related documentation, including contracts, invoices, and guest lists.
- Provide on-site support during events, assisting with setup, guest registration, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct research for event venues, suppliers, and creative ideas as needed.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within the events or hospitality industry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
