Events and Fundraising Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Events and Fundraising Coordinator to manage and execute fundraising events in the Brighton area. This role is central to generating vital income streams and raising the organisation's profile through well-planned and executed events. You will be responsible for the entire event lifecycle, from conception and planning to execution and post-event analysis, ensuring a positive experience for attendees and maximising fundraising potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and manage a diverse range of fundraising events, including galas, sponsored walks, and community fairs.
• Develop event budgets, manage expenditure, and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, supplier management, catering, and volunteer support.
• Develop and implement marketing and promotional plans to attract attendees and sponsors for each event.
• Liaise with stakeholders, sponsors, and beneficiaries to ensure successful event outcomes and build strong relationships.

Requirements

• Previous experience in event management, fundraising, or marketing, with a focus on events.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of people.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and achieve financial targets.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
