About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to support their busy events team in Reading . This role is integral to the successful planning and execution of a variety of events, including conferences, weddings, and corporate functions. You will assist the Events Manager with client liaison, vendor management, logistics coordination, and on-site event support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a passion for the events industry, seeking an opportunity to grow their career in event management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of all aspects of events, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements, offering solutions and managing expectations.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as catering, AV, and venue services to ensure seamless event execution.
- Manage event documentation, including proposals, contracts, timelines, and attendee lists.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any immediate needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an events support role, hospitality, or a related administrative position.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
