About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join their vibrant team in Glasgow . This role is central to the planning, execution, and smooth running of a diverse range of fundraising events, from intimate gatherings to larger community events. You will work closely with the fundraising team to ensure each event is a success, maximizing engagement and income generation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and organisation of all fundraising events, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, supplier management, catering, and AV requirements.
- Manage event registration, ticket sales, and participant communications.
- Provide on-site support during events, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Liaise with internal teams, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Post-event evaluation, including gathering feedback and reporting on event success and financial outcomes.
- Maintain a database of event suppliers and contacts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination, preferably within a charity or non-profit setting.
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring all event aspects are meticulously managed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management software is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, often under pressure.
- A flexible approach to working hours, as some evening and weekend work will be required for events.
