Events Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to support their team in Cambridge . This role involves assisting with the planning, organization, and execution of a variety of events, ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently. You will work closely with the Events Manager, clients, and suppliers to deliver successful and memorable occasions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a keen eye for detail, with a passion for creating seamless event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of all event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and A/V requirements.
• Communicate with clients to confirm event details, preferences, and requirements.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm bookings, and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Prepare event documentation, such as invitations, agendas, and attendee lists.
• Provide on-site support during events, assisting with setup, guest management, and troubleshooting.
• Help manage event budgets and maintain accurate records of expenses.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an events support role or similar administrative position.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn within the Cambridge events industry.
