About the Role
Our client, a well-established charity working to support disadvantaged individuals, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Events Fundraising Assistant to join their team in Sunderland . This part-time role is perfect for someone looking to gain valuable experience in event planning and fundraising within the charity sector. You will provide crucial support to the fundraising team in organizing and executing a variety of fundraising events, from large-scale galas to smaller community gatherings. Your contribution will directly impact the charity's ability to deliver its essential services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of fundraising events, including logistics, venue liaison, and supplier management.
- Support the fundraising team in donor engagement activities, including thank you calls and mailings.
- Help manage event registration, attendee databases, and communication pre- and post-event.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing event materials and managing budgets.
- Represent the charity at events, ensuring a positive experience for all attendees and stakeholders in Sunderland .
Requirements
- Some experience in event support, administration, or fundraising, ideally within a charity setting.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and support the team in various tasks related to events.
