Events Officer - Charity Sector

About the Role

Our client, a well-established charity, is looking for a dynamic and organised Events Officer to lead on the planning and execution of fundraising and engagement events across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. This role is central to generating income and raising the profile of the organisation within the community. You will be responsible for a diverse range of events, from small community gatherings to larger-scale fundraising galas, ensuring each is delivered to a high standard. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable experiences and driven by the desire to maximise impact for our client's vital work.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and deliver a portfolio of fundraising and awareness events, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Develop innovative event concepts and strategies to engage new and existing supporters.
• Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, supplier management, catering, and AV.
• Manage event marketing and promotion, working with the communications team to maximise attendance and engagement.
• Oversee on-site event management, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for all attendees.
• Track event performance, analyse outcomes, and provide comprehensive post-event reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management and delivery, preferably within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational, logistical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• A proactive and creative approach to event planning and execution in Milton Keynes .
