Tax Team Overview

The Tax team thrives on keeping busy and services clients across the country and around the world. They deliver specialist tax expertise and collaborate across BDO to provide wider business solutions. From meeting clients’ evolving business needs to managing changes to legislation, there are always fresh challenges to face.

Key Responsibilities

This role will provide expatriate tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of clients with an international presence/focus. The primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of existing clients and assist with developing targets to ensure continued growth. You will also support senior staff in client work and in management of the group. The role requires proactive workload management and regular communication with directors and partners, and the ability to highlight opportunities for new business.

Qualifications

• Significant understanding and experience within expatriate tax compliance, including annual tax return processes for small and large clients.
• Knowledge of expatriate tax updates such as Statutory Residence Test, Short Term Business Visitors, Non‑Resident Directors, etc.
• Expatriate tax advisory experience.
• Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio.
• Demonstrable staff management experience.
• Ability to actively seek opportunities for selling new services to existing clients.
• Experience dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders.
• Educated to degree level, and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
