£14.24 - £16.50 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

The School and Role
Vision for Education is currently looking for a caring and reliable EYFS Nursery Assistant to provide temporary bank support within a primary school nursery setting in Stroud.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants the flexibility of choosing when they work, while still being part of a friendly and supportive Early Years environment.
As an EYFS Nursery Assistant , you will help support the day-to-day running of the nursery, assisting children with their learning, play and personal development. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to create a positive environment where children feel safe, valued and confident.
You will be supporting across different areas of the nursery, helping children develop independence, communication skills and social confidence through engaging activities and positive interactions.
This role offers flexibility, with hours available when additional nursery support is required. This could include covering staff absence, supporting busy periods or providing additional classroom assistance.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting children within the nursery and EYFS environment
- Helping deliver play-based learning activities
- Encouraging children's communication and independence
- Supporting personal care routines where required
- Helping maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment
- Working alongside Early Years staff to support children's development
- Supporting children with SEND where appropriate
Requirements
To be considered for this EYFS Nursery Assistant role, you should have:
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years
- A relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 preferred)
- A caring and enthusiastic personality
- The ability to build positive relationships
- Good communication skills
- A flexible approach to working hours
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
- Right to work in the UK
