EYFS Teaching Assistant – Wakefield
Location: Wakefield
Role: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Pay: £130 - £200 (Depending on qualifacations)
Start Date: September 2026
Do you have a passion for supporting young children and helping them develop through their early years?
Protocol Education is looking for enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools and early years settings in Leeds and Wakefield.
The Role
Support children's learning and development
Assist with play-based and practical activities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support
Encourage positive communication and social development
Help create a safe and stimulating learning environment
Support classroom routines and daily activities
We Are Looking For
Experience working with young children
A caring and patient approach
Strong communication skills
A passion for education and child development
The ability to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
