EYFS Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Location: Hulme, Manchester (M15) Role: EYFS Teaching Assistant Contract: Full Time Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm Start Date: 21/09/2026
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in the Hulme area of Manchester (M15).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is looking to become part of a supportive and nurturing school environment.
The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the Early Years setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting children with their learning and development across the EYFS curriculum. Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities. Providing support to individual children and small groups where required. Encouraging children's confidence, independence and social development. Supporting with classroom organisation and creating a positive learning environment. Helping to promote positive behaviour and good relationships within the classroom. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Have previous experience working within EYFS. Have a genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development. Be caring, patient and nurturing in their approach. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to work effectively as part of a team. Be enthusiastic, proactive and committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential. Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and children's developmental needs.
