Fabric Engineer – City of London
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum Location: City of London Working Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:00am–4:00pm & 10:00am–7:00pm (rotating shifts)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join the facilities team at a prestigious large corporate building in the City of London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Fabric Engineer looking for a stable, long-term position within a professional corporate environment, working as part of a well-established engineering and facilities team.
The Role
As a Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across the building, ensuring the facilities are maintained to a high standard and providing an excellent level of service to the client.
Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

General fabric repairs and maintenance throughout the building.
*
Basic carpentry, plumbing, decorating and building maintenance tasks.
*
Repairing doors, locks, fixtures, fittings and general building fabric.
*
Responding promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
*
Maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment.
*
Supporting the wider facilities and engineering team where required.
*
Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with health & safety procedures.
*
Completing maintenance records and reporting any defects or issues.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*
Previous experience working as a Fabric Engineer, Fabric Technician, Maintenance Engineer or similar.
*
A strong background in commercial building maintenance.
*
Good practical skills across general fabric/building maintenance.
*
Experience working within a corporate or high-end commercial environment is desirable.
*
Good communication and customer service skills.
*
A professional approach and strong attention to detail.
*
The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
*
Relevant maintenance or trade qualifications would be advantageous.
