Fabric Technician

Location: Reading Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Job Type: Permanent

HVAC Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a leading facilities management team working across commercial office buildings in the Reading area.

This is a great opportunity for a Fabric Engineer / Maintenance Engineer with good plumbing experience who is looking for a stable role with plenty of overtime opportunities and a strong overall package.

The Role

As a Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial office buildings.

Duties will include:

General fabric and building maintenance

*

Reactive maintenance and fault finding

*

Plumbing repairs and maintenance

*

Minor building repairs and general handyman duties

*

PPM and reactive maintenance

*

Working across commercial office environments

*

Supporting the wider facilities management team

*

Travelling to client sites, with travel of up to 1.5 hours

*

Participating in a 1 in 8 on-call rota

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

*

Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Fabric Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Handyman or similar

*

Good plumbing experience

*

Previous experience within a commercial/FM environment

*

A broad range of general building maintenance skills

*

Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

*

A full UK driving licence

*

A professional and reliable approach to work

Package

*

Up to £35,000 salary

*

40-hour working week

*

Overtime available and guaranteed when requested

*

Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x

*

Sunday overtime paid at double time

*

1 in 8 on-call rota

*

New van specific to your trade

*

Uniform provided

*

29 days holiday including Bank Holidays

*

Additional holiday after 2 years' service, with further holiday accrual thereafter

Standard Life pension from month 3

*

3% employer pension contribution / 3% employee contribution

Travel to sites up to 1.5 hours

30-minute travel deduction each way
