Location: Birmingham Salary: £32,000–£40,000 equivalent, depending on experience Contract: Temporary – Temp-to-Permanent Potential Start: Immediate
Are you an experienced Handyperson, Fabric Engineer or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative looking for an immediate-start opportunity?
A leading Facilities Management organisation is looking for a reliable, multi-skilled individual to support general building and fabric maintenance within a secure, operational environment. The role is initially temporary, with strong potential to become permanent.
The Role
As a Handyperson / Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for:
*
Carrying out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance
*
Completing general repairs and handyperson duties across the site
*
Undertaking basic joinery and building maintenance
*
Supporting a variety of maintenance tasks outside your core trade
*
Working alongside electrical, mechanical and other FM trades
*
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
*
Maintaining excellent health, safety and compliance standards
About You
We are looking for someone with:
*
Previous experience as a Handyperson, Fabric Engineer or General Maintenance Operative
*
A broad, multi-skilled approach to maintenance
*
Experience carrying out general building repairs and maintenance
*
Joinery experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
*
Experience working within a commercial or Facilities Management environment
*
Flexibility to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks
*
A reliable and professional approach to work
*
A current DBS would be advantageous
Due to the secure nature of the environment, successful candidates will be required to complete relevant background and security checks, including providing a full five-year employment history.
