A globally recognised defence manufacturer in Stockport is looking for a Fabricator to join its Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence. You'll be working as part of a dedicated team manufacturing equipment for long-term MOD programmes, using jigs and fixtures to produce aluminium components to engineering drawings and work instructions in a state-of-the-art facility.

What you'll be doing:

Fabricating aluminium components using jigs and fixtures in line with fabrication procedures and engineering drawings

Using hand tools and appropriate measuring instruments throughout

Identifying health and safety hazards prior to commencing work and complying with EHS policies throughout

Reporting equipment faults or unusual occurrences through approved maintenance procedures

Booking hours and activities accurately on SAP

What you need:

NVQ Level 2 in a relevant discipline or equivalent

Practical fitting or fabrication experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions

Comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment

Awareness of health and safety requirements and safe working practices
