About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Facilities Cleaner to uphold the cleanliness and hygiene standards across their premises in Edinburgh . This role is essential for ensuring a safe, healthy, and presentable environment for all building occupants and visitors. You will be responsible for a broad range of cleaning duties, from daily touch-ups to deep cleaning tasks, utilising various equipment and cleaning agents. The ideal candidate will be conscientious, efficient, and dedicated to providing a high-quality service, playing a key part in the upkeep and professional presentation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, reception, restrooms, and communal spaces.
• Sweep, mop, and polish floors, ensuring they are clean, dry, and safe.
• Clean and disinfect washroom facilities, ensuring adequate stock of consumables.
• Empty waste bins and manage general waste and recycling according to site policy.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and fittings, maintaining a tidy appearance.
• Report any necessary repairs, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the facilities manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cleaner or in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
• Good understanding of cleaning products, equipment, and health and safety practices.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• A committed and reliable individual with a strong eye for detail.
