About the Role
Our client seeks a dynamic Facilities Cleaning Manager to oversee and manage all cleaning operations across their premises in Belfast . This leadership role requires a blend of hands-on oversight and strategic planning to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You will be responsible for managing a team of cleaning staff, developing cleaning schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position involves a hybrid working model, combining on-site supervision with remote administrative tasks, offering flexibility while ensuring operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and manage a team of cleaning operatives, providing clear direction and support.
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adequate stock levels.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining appropriate documentation.
- Liaise with other departments and external contractors to coordinate cleaning services and address specific needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the cleaning or facilities management industry.
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and health & safety legislation (e.g., COSHH).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and relevant facilities management software.
