Facilities Cleaning Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and organized Facilities Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at various sites in and around Portsmouth . This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site supervision and remote administrative tasks. You will be responsible for managing a team of cleaning staff, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to motivate a team while maintaining operational efficiency in a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in upholding the presentation and hygiene of client facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning operatives to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Develop and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas are covered efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to monitor the quality of work and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance.
• Handle client queries and feedback, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records related to staff performance, inventory, and cleaning activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning or facilities management industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, health and safety standards , and COSHH regulations.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities, with experience in scheduling.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for reporting and communication, essential for the remote aspects of the role.
• Ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
