Job Description
Facilities Coordinator - Milton Keynes - Ad Hoc Temporary Location: Milton Keynes Hours of Work: Mon - Fri 9am - 3pm Hourly Pay Rate: £20.60p/h Via Umbrella We are seeking an organised, proactive, and reliable Facilities Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of our facilities, ensuring that the workplace is safe, well maintained, efficient, and welcoming for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day management and operation of the building and facilities.
- Act as the first point of contact for facilities-related queries and requests.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, landlords, and service providers.
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Monitor building services, including cleaning, security, waste management, and maintenance.
- Assist with office moves, workspace planning, meeting room setup, and general workplace requirements.
- Maintain accurate facilities records, including maintenance schedules, service reports, and contractor documentation.
- Monitor facilities budgets, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Ensure adequate stock levels of office and facilities supplies.
- Support health and safety procedures and report any hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Assist with ensuring the workplace complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support emergency procedures and business continuity arrangements. Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a facilities, workplace, or office coordination role.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience coordinating contractors and external service providers.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- A good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Strong administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
