We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Sutton Coldfield seeking a proactive Facilities Engineer to play a vital role in maintaining and improving site facilities, infrastructure, safety systems, and compliance standards. The Role
As Facilities Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and compliance of the site while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining site facilities, infrastructure, and building services.
- Coordinating external contractors and overseeing maintenance activities.
- Supporting health & safety initiatives, fire safety systems, and risk assessments.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant site regulations and standards.
- Maintaining site security systems and asset protection measures.
About You
We're looking for a driven and organised engineer who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience within Facilities Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Plant Engineering, or a similar role.
- A background working within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation, fire safety systems, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and a passion for site improvement.
