About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain their operational infrastructure. This hybrid role, based in Derby , involves both office-based planning and remote oversight of facilities critical to their Oil & Gas operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities, including offices and support structures, operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. This role is ideal for an organized engineer with a strong background in building services and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, utilities, and equipment.
- Develop and manage budgets for facility operations and capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to facilities.
- Plan and coordinate facility modifications and upgrades.
- Manage external contractors and service providers for maintenance and repairs.
- Implement energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or management, preferably supporting Oil & Gas operations.
- Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience with contract management and vendor relations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model, balancing office and remote duties.
