About the Role
Our client is seeking a competent Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain their operational infrastructure within the oil and gas sector . This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and safe running of production facilities, onshore and offshore. You will be responsible for the integrity, reliability, and maintenance of critical assets, as well as planning and executing upgrades and modifications. The hybrid nature of this role allows for effective remote planning and oversight, complemented by necessary site visits to assess conditions and coordinate maintenance activities, contributing to operational efficiency and asset longevity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Oversee the planning and execution of shutdown and turnaround activities.
- Manage engineering projects related to facility upgrades, modifications, and debottlenecking.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all facility operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with operations, maintenance teams, and external contractors.
- Monitor facility performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry .
- Strong understanding of rotating and static equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Experience with maintenance planning and execution.
- Good project management skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid remote/on-site capacity.
