Facilities Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join their team in Sheffield . This role involves overseeing the integrity, maintenance, and operational efficiency of oil and gas production facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all assets operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the design, installation, and modification of production facilities and associated infrastructure.
• Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance strategies for facility equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER).
• Conduct regular facility inspections and integrity assessments.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to optimize performance.
• Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or asset integrity management, ideally within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of production facility equipment, including topsides, pipelines, and safety systems.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and asset integrity principles.
• Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
