Temporary Facilities Technician
Location: Malvern
Pay Rate: £25 - £26 per hour

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Facilities Technician to support a well-established and welcoming church in Malvern.
This is a hands-on, varied role responsible for helping to ensure the church buildings, facilities and surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, welcoming and functional environment for staff, visitors, congregation members and community groups.
The successful candidate will be practical, reliable and proactive, with previous experience in facilities, maintenance or a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the church buildings and facilities.
Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
Identify and report defects, faults and health & safety issues.
Assist with basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and general building repairs.
Support external contractors and service providers where required.
Help maintain external areas, entrances, pathways and grounds.
Ensure facilities are safe, secure and ready for services and events.
Assist with setting up spaces for church services, meetings and community events.
Keep records of maintenance and repairs.
Respond promptly to facilities-related issues.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in facilities, maintenance, caretaking or a similar hands-on role.
Has strong practical maintenance skills.
Can confidently carry out general repairs and basic maintenance.
Is reliable, organised and able to work independently.
Has good attention to detail.
Is comfortable working around members of the public.
Takes health and safety seriously.
Is flexible and willing to support occasional events where required.
