Facilities Technician – Manufacturing (West Midlands)
Salary: £18.23 – £22.75 per hour (£34,600 – £43,100 per annum), dependent on experience and qualifications Hours: 36.5 hours per week, days only — Monday to Thursday 8:00am–4:00pm, Friday 8:00am–3:00pm. Overtime and weekend work available for those who want it.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced Facilities Technician to join their team. This is a technical leadership role at the heart of the facility — you'll be responsible for coordinating projects, driving efficiency, and keeping the site running safely and cost-effectively.
What you'll be doing:
Project managing programmes of works across the facility, from planning through to delivery Coordinating installation projects and plant moves, insourcing work where possible Monitoring energy usage to ensure safe, balanced, and efficient consumption Researching and developing efficiency and cost-avoidance projects Acting as the go-to advisor on all things facilities-related Interfacing with suppliers and industry bodies, including occasional overseas travel Staying on top of new technologies that could benefit the plant What we're looking for:
Strong facilities maintenance or installation experience in a manufacturing environment Good electrical knowledge of LV installation practice and theory Solid mechanical installation grounding (compressed air systems, cooling water systems) Experience with heavy/large machinery installations and relocations Some exposure to civil engineering or works project management, with an understanding of budgetary control A proactive, flexible approach with strong communication skills GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, plus a technical/trade qualification in construction or maintenance What's on offer:
