Facilities Technician

The successful candidate will have practical electrical maintenance experience, with further on-the-job training provided.

The Role

You will be responsible for reactive and planned maintenance as part of the Facilities Engineering team. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, projects and installation work. Ideally, although not essential, you will have practical experience in the maintenance and fault-finding of mechanical, electrical and fluid-distribution systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and completing daily activities from the maintenance plan, ensuring priorities are achieved while maximising equipment efficiency
• Supporting the maintenance of site facilities
• Identifying and managing equipment spares
• Working closely with other departments to support problem-solving and root-cause analysis
• Inspecting, testing and, where appropriately qualified, certifying electrical installations in accordance with current wiring regulations
• Carrying out all work in accordance with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality systems
• Managing subcontractors to ensure they deliver value to the operation This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a Monday-to-Friday day shift. xwwtmva Monday to Thursday:
• 7:30am–4:00pm; or
• 8:30am–5:15pm Friday:
• 7:30am or 8:30am until 1:00pm Standby Rota and Call-outs Following completion of the necessary awareness training, you will join the team’s standby rota and provide cover for occasional out-of-hours call-outs. Knowledge, Experience and Skills You should have:
• Practical electrical maintenance experience
