Family Help Social Worker
North West Local Authority | Hybrid Working | Competitive Agency Rate | Immediate Start
We Do Social Work is recruiting for an experienced Family Help Social Worker to join a progressive North West Local Authority committed to delivering high-quality, relationship-based practice with children and families.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive Family Help team where you'll work with children and families using a strengths-based, trauma-informed and whole-family approach to achieve lasting change.
The Role
As a Family Help Social Worker, you will:
Manage a varied caseload of children and families requiring support and intervention.
Complete high-quality assessments, plans and reviews that are child-focused and evidence-based.
Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies and community services to improve outcomes.
Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to safeguarding and child protection processes.
Develop SMART plans with clear contingency planning and measurable outcomes.
Support children to remain safely within their families wherever possible.
Mentor and support less experienced practitioners within the team.
Maintain accurate case recordings and prepare high-quality reports, including court work where required.
About You
To be considered, you will have:
Social Work England registration.
A recognised Social Work qualification.
A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience within Children's Services.
Strong assessment, safeguarding and risk management skills.
Experience of working within a strengths-based, relationship-focused practice model.
Excellent communication and partnership working skills.
The ability to manage complex cases and make confident decisions.
