Family Solicitor / Caseworker

Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Family Solicitor or Caseworker to join our Family Department. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload and work closely with experienced solicitors in the team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload and dealing with a range of public and private law children work, domestic violence, divorce and finance matters
- Maintaining case management systems and contributing to practice management
- Undertaking advocacy where appropriate, or developing advocacy skills with support from the firm
- Preparing and submitting Legal aid applications
Key Skills required:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in family law
- Strong communication, organisational, and client care skills
- Demonstrate commitment to legal aid work and social welfare law
- Experience in advocacy or a willingness to develop advocacy skills
- Resolution or Law Society panel membership (desirable but not essential)
- Experience in legal aid work is essential
