Key Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits and remote consultations to assess family needs and identify areas for support.
- Develop and implement tailored support plans in collaboration with families, focusing on achievable goals.
- Provide practical assistance with parenting skills, household management, and accessing community services.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to parents and caregivers, helping them to build confidence and coping mechanisms.
- Liaise effectively with schools, health professionals, and other agencies to ensure integrated support for families.
- Maintain confidential records and provide regular reports on progress and outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience in family support, social work, childcare, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures, and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with families from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using technology for virtual meetings, communication, and record-keeping.
- A degree or relevant qualification in social work, early years, or a related discipline is preferred.
