Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of family needs and develop integrated support plans in collaboration with family members.
- Provide direct practical support, guidance, and emotional support to families in their homes and community settings.
- Facilitate positive parenting skills and strategies to enhance family relationships and child development.
- Liaise with schools, health visitors, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to family support.
- Support families in accessing appropriate resources, benefits, and community services.
- Monitor progress, review support plans regularly, and contribute to case conferences and reviews.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in social work, childcare, health and social care, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience working with families and children, addressing complex needs.
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding policies, and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits.
