Our client is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Family Support Worker to join their team serving the Plymouth community. This role focuses on providing essential support to families facing challenges, helping them to build resilience and improve outcomes for children and parents. You will work holistically, offering practical assistance, emotional guidance, and access to resources. This hybrid position involves direct work with families in their homes and community settings within Plymouth , alongside administrative and planning duties undertaken remotely, offering a balanced approach to family support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of family needs and develop appropriate support plans.
- Provide practical and emotional support to families in their own homes and local community settings.
- Facilitate positive parenting practices and help families access essential services.
- Work collaboratively with children, parents, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records and reports.
- Offer guidance and support to help families manage challenging situations and improve communication.
Requirements
- Experience working with families, children, or in a social care setting.
