About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and nurturing Family Support Worker to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is focused on providing essential support to families facing various challenges, aiming to strengthen family relationships and improve outcomes for children. You will work directly with families in their homes and within the community, offering practical assistance, guidance, and emotional support. This is a crucial role within the community services sector, contributing to the resilience and well-being of families across Wolverhampton and fostering positive environments for child development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to families in their own homes and within the community.
- Work with families to develop and implement tailored support plans to address identified needs.
- Assist families in accessing resources and services, such as housing, benefits, and childcare.
- Monitor family progress and report on outcomes, liaising with other professionals as necessary.
- Facilitate positive parenting practices and improve communication within families.
Requirements
- Experience working with families and children in a social care or support setting.
- Understanding of child development and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust.
- Ability to work effectively and sensitively with diverse families in the Wolverhampton area.
- Relevant qualification such as Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
