About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Milton Keynes . This crucial role focuses on providing practical and emotional support to families facing challenges, helping them to build resilience and improve their well-being. You will work collaboratively with families in their own homes and within the community, fostering positive relationships and facilitating access to necessary services. This is an impactful role for someone passionate about strengthening families and promoting positive outcomes within the Buckinghamshire area.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake holistic assessments of family needs and circumstances.
- Develop and implement tailored support plans in partnership with families.
- Provide consistent, reliable support and build trusting relationships with parents and children.
- Facilitate children's development and well-being through targeted interventions and activities.
- Liaise with schools, health services, and other agencies to ensure coordinated support.
- Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to team discussions and case reviews.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care or Childcare.
- Previous experience working with families in a professional capacity.
- Understanding of child protection procedures and safeguarding policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in the Milton Keynes area.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits.
