About the Role

Our client seeks a strategic and commercially astute Farm Business Consultant to advise agricultural enterprises in the Manchester area and surrounding regions. You will play a pivotal role in helping farms improve their profitability, efficiency, and sustainability through expert analysis and tailored business strategies. This hybrid role involves regular site visits to farms and operations, complemented by remote work for data analysis and client reporting. You will be instrumental in guiding farmers through market challenges, regulatory changes, and technological advancements, ensuring the long-term viability of their operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of farm operations, including financial performance, production methods, and market positioning.
• Develop and present customized business plans, strategies, and operational improvements for farm clients.
• Advise on best practices in areas such as crop rotation, livestock management, soil health, and integrated pest management.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chains to identify opportunities and mitigate risks for agricultural businesses.
• Assist clients in navigating agricultural grants, subsidies, and compliance requirements.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with farm owners and management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in farm management, agricultural consulting, or a related advisory role.
• Deep understanding of agricultural economics, market dynamics, and operational challenges.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed and work effectively in a hybrid model.
