About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Farm Business Consultant to provide strategic advice and support to agricultural enterprises in and around Reading . This role involves helping farmers improve their business performance, efficiency, and profitability through expert analysis and tailored recommendations. You will work closely with farm owners and managers to understand their operations, identify challenges, and develop robust business plans. This hybrid position combines client site visits with remote analysis and reporting, offering a dynamic and rewarding career within the vital agriculture and forestry sector. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of farm businesses, analyzing financial performance, operational efficiency, and market positioning.
• Develop strategic business plans, including diversification strategies, investment appraisals, and risk management frameworks.
• Provide expert advice on financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and grant applications.
• Advise on best practices in areas such as livestock management, crop production, and land use optimization.

Requirements

• A degree in Agriculture, Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural business management, consultancy, or finance.
• Strong understanding of farm operations, economics, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Proven ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.
