Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market trends, and potential collaborations within the agricultural industry.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to enhance farm productivity and profitability.
- Provide expert advice and support to farmers on operational efficiency, diversification, and financial planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and farm visits to disseminate best practices and new agricultural technologies.
- Monitor market performance and competitor activities, reporting insights to senior management.
Requirements
- A degree in Agriculture, Business Management, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in farm management, agricultural consulting, or business development within the agribusiness sector.
- Strong understanding of modern farming techniques, crop production, livestock management, and supply chains.
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and develop effective business strategies.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel frequently within the Southampton region.
