Farm Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their diverse agricultural enterprise located in the scenic region surrounding Leeds . This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of modern farming techniques, livestock management, and crop production. You will be responsible for ensuring the farm operates efficiently, profitably, and sustainably, managing resources, staff, and all operational aspects. This is a critical on-site position for an individual passionate about agriculture and committed to excellence in farm management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all farming activities , including crop planting, cultivation, and harvesting.
• Manage livestock operations, ensuring animal welfare, health, and productivity.
• Oversee farm staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Maintain and operate farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Manage farm budgets, record-keeping, and inventory control, optimizing resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations, health, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in farm management or a similar senior agricultural role.
• Strong knowledge of crop science, soil management, and livestock husbandry.
• Experience with agricultural machinery operation and maintenance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and maintain accurate farm records.
