About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and practical Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their agricultural enterprise. This hands-on role requires comprehensive knowledge of modern farming techniques, livestock management, and crop cultivation. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all farming activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to high standards of animal welfare and crop quality. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of crop production, including planting, cultivation, pest control, and harvesting, ensuring optimal yields.
• Oversee livestock operations, including feeding, health monitoring, breeding programs, and general welfare.
• Develop and manage the farm's budget, controlling expenses and optimising resource allocation.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of farm staff, providing training, motivation, and performance management.
• Maintain and operate farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and used safely.
• Implement and monitor farm safety protocols and environmental management plans.
• Source and manage relationships with suppliers of feed, seed, fertilisers, and other essential inputs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Farm Manager or in a senior agricultural supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of crop science, animal husbandry, and farm machinery.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations within an agricultural setting.
• Proficiency in using farm management software or record-keeping systems.
