About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee all agricultural activities at their property near Liverpool . This hands-on role is essential for ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the farm, focusing on crop cultivation, livestock management, and land stewardship within the agriculture and forestry sector . You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising daily farm operations, managing staff, and maintaining equipment to achieve optimal productivity and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual farm operating plans, including crop rotation, planting schedules, and harvesting strategies.
• Supervise and manage farm staff, providing training, assigning tasks, and ensuring high performance and safety standards.
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and track farm production costs and revenues.
• Implement best practices for soil health, water management, and pest control to ensure sustainable and efficient farming.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Farm Manager or in a senior agricultural operational role.
• Strong knowledge of crop production, soil science, agricultural equipment, and farm management principles.
• Experience in managing teams and delegating tasks effectively.
• Ability to develop and adhere to farm budgets and operational plans.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices.
