Farm Sustainability Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Farm Sustainability Coordinator to join their team, working a hybrid schedule with a base near Norwich . This role is essential in guiding and implementing sustainable practices across their agricultural operations. You will be responsible for assessing environmental impacts, developing strategies for resource conservation (water, energy, soil), and promoting biodiversity. This position involves collaborating with farm managers, external stakeholders, and researchers to ensure that agricultural activities align with environmental goals and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for environmental stewardship and a practical understanding of agricultural systems, contributing to a more resilient and eco-friendly future for farming.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement farm-level sustainability plans and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on key environmental performance indicators, such as water usage, carbon footprint, and waste management.
• Identify opportunities for improving resource efficiency and reducing environmental impact on the farm.
• Coordinate with farm staff to ensure adherence to sustainability protocols and best practices.
• Research and advise on the adoption of new sustainable technologies and methods.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders on sustainability efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Experience in farm management, environmental assessment, or sustainability coordination.
• Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices, including soil health, water conservation, and biodiversity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in both an office and remote setting, with occasional site visits.
