We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Communicator Guide (Community Support Worker) to join our team in Harborne.

This is a permanent role, working 17.5 hours per week where you will be working shifts on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and alternate Thursdays.

This is a fun and rewarding opportunity, working on a 2:1 basis to support a young person who has autism to access the community for social and leisure purposes. She is a non-verbal communicator and communicates using pictures, song and dance, or expressive body language.

You will be supporting the young person to participate in activities they enjoy, have meaningful experiences, and make new friends. You will support them to make their own choices of how they want to spend their day, but a typical day in this role might be spent: attending a local centre that provides activities for people with learning difficulties, arranging to meet a friend for a walk in the park and going to a trampoline park.

There is some support with personal care required (supporting the individual with toileting.)

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle with business insurance is essential.
