I am looking for a personal assistant to provide physical support to enable a young, intelligent adult to do day to day activities.

Job Title: Female* Personal Care Assistant (PA)

Hours: 3 x 1.25 hour shifts /week + overtime. Can be negotiated. Mainly weekday mornings and also evenings and weekends.

Salary: £14.12 per hour

Location: Seacroft, Leeds. Near Fearnville Playing fields.

Main purpose: To provide physical support to enable a young, intelligent person to do day to day activities.

Main Tasks

To provide personal care support for hair washing and dressing etc.
To assist in the preparation of meals, and hot drinks and the associated kitchen duties.
To assist in general household chores such as tidying, cleaning and washing.
To prompt and assist with medication.
To make hot water bottles.
To scribe for admin including emails and university work.
To assist in using a computer and other electronic devices.
To assist in the preparation for the daily activities, eg packing a bag.
To assist in accessing facilities and activities in the community eg changing for swimming.
To maintain clear and accurate records as determined by the employer including timesheets and financial records and agree and sign the timesheets.
To attend relevant training sessions.
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the employer.
To maintain and uphold the strictest confidentiality even after employment has ceased.

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL:

Must be female

*Female applicants required as some personal care is required

To be willing to work in the same room as an assistance dog

To have a good level of verbal and written English

You must have the right to work in the UK. The government does not consider this a skilled workers position

You must complete a DBS check for this role

DESIRABLE:

To be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
