Fettler/ Grinder

Overview

We are looking for an experienced fettler / grinder to join a busy manufacturing business in Sheffield. This is a permanent role available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will have a background working within a similar role within a fabrication-based environment.

Hours: 07:30–15:30 Mon–Thu / 07:30–12:00 Fri. OT available at premium rates and the chance to join a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Grinding, finishing, and dressing fabricated components
• Removing excess material and surface imperfections
• Operating hand-held power tools and fettling equipment safely
• Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Previous fettling, grinding, or metal finishing experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Awareness of workplace health and safety practices
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong teamwork
