Key Responsibilities

• Plan and design fiber optic networks , including conduit, duct, and aerial routes, to meet capacity and coverage objectives.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess network deployment viability and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare detailed network design documentation, including maps, schematics, and construction plans.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including local authorities, landowners, and construction teams, to facilitate network build-outs.
• Ensure all network designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Optimize network layouts for cost-effectiveness and future scalability, considering factors like existing infrastructure and terrain.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Geography, or a related field, or equivalent experience in network planning.
• Proven experience in fiber optic network design and planning, preferably within a utility or telecom environment.
• Proficiency with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD tools for network mapping and design.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic cable types, installation methods, and network topologies.
• Excellent spatial reasoning and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
