Field Installation Technician - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable and self-motivated Field Installation Technician to join their remote team, supporting operations across the Southampton and wider Hampshire region. While this role is fully remote in terms of management and coordination, it requires the technician to be physically present at customer sites for installation and maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for the professional installation, configuration, and initial setup of specialized equipment, ensuring it meets all technical requirements and client expectations. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission new equipment at client locations efficiently and accurately.
• Perform on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting for installation-related issues.
• Configure systems according to technical specifications and project requirements.
• Provide basic operational guidance to clients post-installation.
• Maintain detailed records of all installation activities, including any challenges encountered and resolutions.
• Adhere to all company safety standards and site-specific protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an installation or technical field service role is essential.
• Strong practical aptitude for mechanical and electrical installations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and the remote support team.
• A valid UK driving license and the flexibility to travel to various customer sites within the Southampton area as needed.
