Field Installation Technician - Utilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Field Installation Technician to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire , focusing on the installation and maintenance of essential utility systems. This role involves traveling to various sites to perform installations, conduct regular maintenance checks, and address any technical issues that arise. You will be a key part of ensuring the reliable operation of critical infrastructure, working hands-on to deliver high-quality service. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission new utility equipment and systems according to project specifications and safety regulations.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on existing installations to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair faults in utility systems, making timely and effective repairs.
• Respond to service calls and emergency situations as required, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities performed.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and company procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Installation Technician or in a similar role within the Installation & Maintenance industry.
• Strong understanding of utility systems, electrical components, and mechanical principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to installation and repair work.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the Stoke-on-Trent area, with occasional site visits beyond.
