About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and skilled Field Maintenance Specialist to join their operations team in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear . This role is crucial for ensuring the operational integrity of various installations and equipment through planned maintenance and timely repairs. While the role requires significant on-site work, there will be opportunities for hybrid arrangements, blending field duties with some remote administrative tasks. You will be responsible for a broad range of maintenance activities, contributing directly to the reliability and efficiency of our client's services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks on a range of equipment and systems.
• Respond to and resolve reported faults and breakdowns promptly and effectively.
• Perform installations and upgrades of new or existing equipment as per specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service reports.
• Adhere to stringent health and safety guidelines during all site operations.
• Liaise with clients and site managers to coordinate maintenance schedules and report on work completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a maintenance or installation role, preferably in a field-based capacity.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and potentially IT systems maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to represent the company professionally.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be comfortable travelling across the Sunderland region.
